Praised for his technical proficiency as well as his picturesque and inspiring lyrics, Dublin rapper Rebel Phoenix has earned respect from music fans across the board.
Equally at home rhyming over jazzy breakbeats, booming trap beats and atmospheric soundscapes, his diverse style knows no bounds and has played a huge part in his ability to stand out from the crowd.
He first made a name for himself with his debut project R.E.B.E.L in 2014, which was followed by an array of critically acclaimed albums, EPs and singles. With each release, he has further proven his artistic value and cemented his status as one of the leading figures in Irish urban music.
Rebel now splits his time between Ireland and America since being granted an 0-1 artist visa (for individuals who possess extraordinary abilities) after a stint on the New York music scene.
2020 started with a bang for Rebel P. His first gig of the year with First Fortnight Festival in January was sold-out. He served as the main support act on the countrywide ‘Casual Work’ tour with Mango X Mathman in February and on the 7th of March he played to a full house in New York City’s iconic Mercury Lounge. He also performed a live session with BBC Radio Ulster on the 30th of January, as well as being interviewed by Stephen McCauley.

2019 was full of highlights too. He kicked things off by headlining a sold-out show in Wigwam, which was followed by another headliner in The Grand Social. He was long-listed to play Glastonbury in March and performed in front of a large and lively crowd at Vantastival in June. In August, he topped the bill for another sold-out gig in conjunction with Red Bull and District Magazine in The Workman’s Club.
In September, shortly after having his song 'Limitless' played at New York Fashion Week, he released his latest EP ‘Global Warming’ which was officially launched at a packed listening party in The Ink Factory on Dublin’s Wellington Quay.
Having proven that he is heading in the right direction towards a very bright future, Rebel Phoenix has no intention of slowing down. He continues to work on building his own brand while collaborating with other creative and ambitious people and businesses.
